Can you help an Elf out?
Dear Family, Friends, and Framily,
As many of you know, I am working as an assistant in the Sunflower kindergarten at the Olympia Waldorf School. It is an awesome job that enables me to see beauty and joy in each child I work with (and I get to play too!) I could not ask for more, except for one thing. I dream of completing my Waldorf teacher training, so I can teach full time as lead teacher with my own class in my own classroom.
In my life I have had so many wonderful opportunities to explore the different sides of who I am. I have had some great (and NOT so great) jobs. This is by far my favorite! It has been an amazing journey. A journey on which I continue to grow and learn. I want to take my life experiences and further my education through this training so I can bring it to the children and school that I love so dearly.
However, at this time, I really need your help! In order to attend the Early Childhood Teacher certification at the West Coast Institute, I need to raise some funds. My first fund raising goal, is the summer tuition costs of $2,600 by the first of June. While OWS is able to help me with some assistance, they are not in a financial position to cover the total cost. (Total cost for the whole program will be $4,500 plus room and board in Duncan, B.C.)
This is why I am appealing to you today. I have a chip-in set up at this blog where you can donate through pay-pal. I have a separate account at Timberland bank that those funds go into so I can pay my tuition and purchase my school supplies. Anything helps, and even prayers are appreciated.
I know that teaching is my path, I just need a little extra help in making this next step happen. Your support is so important. Anything you are able to offer is appreciated beyond words. Thank you for helping my dream come true.
With a Loving and Grateful Heart,
Miss ELF
